Our Core Promise

Docorio is designed with a "Client-Side First" architecture. This means that for 95% of our tools (Merge, Compress, Split, Crop, etc.), your files are processed entirely within your web browser. They are NOT uploaded to our servers.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Data: We do not collect names, emails, or phone numbers unless you voluntarily provide them via our Contact form or newsletter subscription.

Usage Data: We use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Analytics) to aggregate anonymous data about website traffic, such as which pages are most popular. This data does not identify individual users.

2. How We Handle Your Files

2.1 Client-Side Processing

The majority of operations are performed using WebAssembly technology directly on your device. In these cases:

Your file never leaves your computer.
We have zero access to the content of your documents.
Processing stops immediately if you close the browser tab.

2.2 Server-Side Processing

Some complex conversions (e.g., PDF to Office formats) may require server-side assistance. In these limited cases:

Files are transmitted via encrypted TLS 1.3 tunnels.
Files are stored in a temporary, isolated sandbox environment.
Automatic Deletion: Files are permanently deleted from our servers immediately after the conversion is complete, or after a maximum of 1 hour in case of processing errors.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies necessary for the functioning of the website (e.g., remembering your dark mode preference). We do not use third-party tracking pixels that follow you across the internet.

4. Advertising

We may display advertisements from third-party networks (like Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under users' rights regulations, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Since we store virtually no personal data, there is rarely anything to delete, but you may contact us at privacy@docorio.app for any inquiries.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
